Time and space to gain perspective

I joined the October 2025 Inventure at very short notice. One minute I was stuck in my daily routine at work and the next day I was driving through the Eastern Cape into Graaff-Reinet.

I had few expectations and was primarily looking forward to time away from work. What unfolded over the days was a slowing down of my thoughts and a gaining of perspective that I needed to make a big career decision. I did not have a moment of revelation but rather the time to consider what I was planning and its implications.

The activities and conversations allowed my ideas to settle in till they felt right. I left with a surely of purpose but no specific plan, that was conscious and came easily later.

To anyone needing to weigh up their thoughts and take a long look at their options, plans, aspirations or questions, an Inventure offers the time and surroundings to gain perspective.
