The inventure concept arose from a series of questions that Julie Robinson and Michelle Davis posed to each other:
What brings you joy?
The moments, feelings, spaces, people, smells, sounds, things that you would like to capture, bottle, and replicate. That sense of contentment that is so moreish that you feel such deep satisfaction and joy – you can’t begin to find words.
What gifts do you have?
If you then had to consider the essence behind these moments of pure joy, what gifts do you think and believe you have innately that can and will add value to those around you and the world, and therefore create more moments of the above in your life?
What purpose are you drawn to?
What problems or struggles do you see in yourself, others, society or globally that you would like to play a part in solving, healing, remedying – what sits close to your heart?
Their responses and subsequent discussions led to the idea of creating inner adventures — or inventures — that enable us to explore our internal selves, reconnect to our senses and gain a deeper awareness of the natural world.
