An Inventure in the Karoo is a gift. A gift of time, not measured in minutes or hours, but in stillness and space. Time to mourn the parts of yourself that have been lost. Time to begin healing.

Walking in silence with people you have just met, knowing that they too are on a journey of healing or rediscovery is a gift. Your vulnerability held with love and respect by everyone.

The landscape Julie chooses for the Inventure, the careful thought behind every activity, the walks, the breathwork, the unexpected gifts presented each day, all allow you to feel a little braver and more whole again.

Being surrounded by the beauty of the Karoo, the stars scattered across the sky – the moon rising over the river – the unforgettable sunrises, it is impossible not to feel. To feel your own smallness in the universe, yet at the same time, to feel the fullness of life inside you. It can be overwhelming at times, but Julie is always there if the feelings that arise, are a little too big in the moment. Gently guiding you to make sense of them.

I left the Karoo knowing myself again…. yet holding onto a little bit of “lost” ……with joy…… as I am ready to discover more.
