INVENTURE EXPERIENCE LOGISTICS
In preparation for the upcoming Inventure Experience in the Karoo, please take note of the below mentioned logistical and practical considerations.
1. Duration

8 – 12 May 2025 |
2 – 6 October 2025 |

15 – 19 May 2025 |
9 – 13 October 2025 |
2. Location
The Inventure Experiences shall be held in the Karoo, on a farm located outside of Graaff-Reinet.
3. Price
R 29 210.00 including vat
*Price includes cost of all meals, accommodation, and creative and sensory experiences, as well as transport from the Pick-Up and Drop-Off Point to the location and back.

4. Deposit
Please make payment of a non-refundable deposit of 50% (R 14 605.00 including vat) to confirm and secure your booking.
The balance of the price set out at paragraph 3 above, less the above-mentioned deposit, must be paid a month before your agreed departure date as indicated in the dates of your chosen Inventure Experience.

5. Travel arrangements
Arrival:
- Please arrive on your scheduled date in Graaff-Reinet as indicated in your chosen Inventure Experience start date, Eastern Cape at ‘Hello You’ at 52 Somerset Street, Graaff-Reinet, 6280 (the “Pick-Up and Drop-Off Point”), where all participants will be meeting.
- Please ensure you are there at 11am.
- From there, all participants will travel to the farm together.
- If you are flying to Gqeberha, expect a travel time of approximately 3 hours from the airport to Graaff-Reinet. If you are flying to Gqeberha, you can hire a car or take a transfer directly to Graaff-Reinet from the airport (to be organised prior to your arrival).
- If you are driving from Johannesburg to Graaff-Reinet, expect a travel time of approximately 8 hours. The recommendation would be that you arrive the day before and stay overnight in Graaff-Reinet. See suggested accommodation options below:
Please provide your travel arrangements to Inventure once confirmed.
Departure:
- At the end of the Inventure Experience, you will be driven back to your vehicle at Bloemhof Farm by 12pm latest on your scheduled departure date as indicated in your chosen Inventure Experience end date.
- Inventure will share further details with you by email closer to the time.
- Inventure shall not be liable for the Client’s transport to and from the meeting place in Graaff-Reinet.
6. Vehicle parking
- During the experience, your vehicle will be left at Bloemhof Farm which is located 25km’s outside of Graaff-Reinet. We will commute there together to drop off the vehicles on route to our location for the Inventure experience.
- Vehicles and their contents are left at Bloemhof Farm at your own risk. Inventure accepts no liability for loss or damage to your vehicle or any contents therein.
7. Safely protocols
- For the full duration of the Inventure Experience, you acknowledge that you will be without cellular connectivity, however Inventure will ensure that a satellite telephone is available as a means of regular check-ins and connectivity in case of an emergency.
- Inventure will check in twice daily with Karlien De Wet (located in Graaff-Reinet) and Dale and Kelly Jackson (located at Riverdene farm) on alternate days, which will take place after breakfast and before dinner each day. The purpose of these check-ins is to ensure two-way communication in case of emergency on either side.

9. Weather conditions
- For the May experiences, we will be in the Karoo during autumn where the average temperatures for a typical day range from a high of 21 degrees to a low of 7 degrees.
- For the October experiences, we will be in the Karoo during spring where the average temperatures for a typical day range from a high of 25 degrees to a low of between 5-9 degrees.
It will be cold at night and so it is strongly advised to pack warm clothes to ensure that you are comfortable. Inventure recommends that you be cautious and pack warmer gear rather than risk being cold. The weather in the Karoo tends to be unpredictable and as such, please ensure that you have all you need.
Inventure in no way guarantees the above forecasts, and it is your responsibility to ensure that to pack appropriate clothing.
10. Suggested packing list
Reminder that all accommodation, bedding, towels, meals and beverages are provided
- Walking shoes (comfortable with a grip) and an extra pair of shoes for the evening
- Slops (sandals)
- Clothes (shorts, t-shirts, long-sleeved t-shirt, sweater or jersey, warm jacket for evening, tracksuit pants, sleep clothes, underwear, socks)
- Toiletries
- Personal medication
- Warm thermal under gear (long johns)
- Base layer
- Beanie, scarf, gloves
- Cap (sunhat)
- Sunglasses
- Swim attire
- Waterproof jacket
- Headlamp
- Sunscreen
- Mosquito repellent (tabard or peaceful sleep)
- Day pack (small backpack)
